Steps to Success
Assess the existing power system and identify any visible issues or potential areas for improvement. Conduct a load analysis to evaluate power demands and finally review any available system documentation such as electrical blueprints and documentation to understand the setup, wiring, and any previous modifications.
Secure power sources to prevent accidental activation, ensuring safety for both personnel and equipment. Proper safety gear, such as gloves, goggles, and insulated tools, is used throughout the service.
We check for any signs of wear, corrosion, loose connections, or physical damage on cables, switches, and panels. We also test voltage and current levels across the system to ensure they align with specifications. We'll also verify grounding and bonding systems for proper function, as these are crucial for safety and equipment protection.
This includes switchgear and breaker maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, and testing switchgear, breakers, and relays to ensure smooth operation. We conduct a transformer check and inspect them for any issues, such as oil leaks or overheating, and verify proper output levels. If available, battery and UPS systems are tested and serviced to ensure reliability during power interruptions. Finally, all cables and conduits are inspected for wear and rany damaged or corroded components are replaced.
We will load testing to simulate full load conditions and verify the system’s ability to handle peak demands. Protection relays and other control devices are calibrated and tested to ensure they respond correctly to faults or overloads. If a generator or backup power source is in place, we will test the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) to ensure it switches correctly during an outage.
A compliance review ensures that all repairs, upgrades, and adjustments meet local and national electrical codes. We will note any issues found, repairs made, and recommendations for future maintenance. Finally a customer walkthrough includes a review of the service performed and explanation of any key findings or maintenance recommendations.
If needed, we re-energize the system in stages to monitor performance and confirm that all systems are operating as expected. We will also observe the system for a set period to verify stable, safe operation before concluding the service.
